Data from the Constellation 3Di
system is available on a conventional laptop, hand-held PDA, or can be
integrated into a control loop. The system can be combined with software
analysis packages such as Spatial Analyzer software
to provide a full range of geometric analysis or comparison to CAD data.
The
Constellation 3Di system can be expanded by adding additional
transmitters to cover a large manufacturing area. Each transmitter delivers an
eye-safe minimal energy bath of laser light that is detected by receivers to provide their
real-time coordinate location. Receivers can also be incorporated into fixed
monuments providing reference information that will continuously establish a
reference coordinate system. Other receivers can simultaneously be used as
hand-held probes or attached to mobile objects to establish their location in 3D
space at any point in time. Receivers can also be temporarily mounted to
provide dynamic coordinate
information.
Receivers can be switched on or
monitored on demand to provide a position update of tooling and fixtures.
It is possible to continuously update the
3D coordinates of any object for which you need real-time coordinate
information.
