TraceCam F - Dynamic 3D Measurement

The high speed dynamics of objects often need to be measured to analyze and optimize their position, motion and deformation behavior.

 

High-speed cameras are often used for this purpose but they generally have limited recording time. When very rapid movements need to be captured, this shortcoming becomes even more pronounced. TraceCam F is equipped with a new high-speed camera that allows for 3D recording of highly dynamic processes over unlimited periods of time.

    TraceCam F measuring system is built around a high-speed digital camera with the following characteristics:

     

    CMOS sensor with 1.3 million pixel resolution. Integrated high-performance flash . Integrated image analysis processor. Very short shutter speeds of a few microseconds that are required for long duration tests. Robust, high-quality camera which is stable over time Data provided at a frequency of 485Hz. Measurements may be collected over long periods of time. Real-time analyses up to 100Hz when used with high performance PC
  • Several cameras may be synchronized with each other or with other measurement sensors.

  • Advantages of TraceCam F

    The TraceCam F measuring system is touchless. Measuring targets are very light weight and therefore do not influence the characteristics of the part being measured.

     

    Point accuracy is about +0.1mm (0.004in) and angle accuracy is about 0.015° (for a measurement volume of 1.000mm x 1.000mm x 500mm).   The integrated image analysis processor allows TraceCam F to provide data at the rate of almost 500 times per second. Measurements may be collected over long periods of time. The high-speed camera uses a high-performance flash and thus allows for the measurement of very fast motion of 50m/s and more. At the same time, any number of measuring points can be collected within the measurement volume. The measuring volume may also be varied to suite the application.  

    TraceCam F can be configured as a one-camera, stereo or multiple camera system. TraceCam F is therefore highly configurable and can be used for practically all highly dynamic 3D analysis requirements. It is also capable of tracking several objects against each other or against a reference. Movements and vibration of the measuring system can be controlled or eliminated. TraceCam F requires little set-up time.
